The result of the third Town Council Management Report (TCMR) was released in July 2011 and it covers the period of assessment from October 2010 to March 2011 for all 16 Town Councils.
West Coast Town Council is disappointed that our rating for cleanliness fell from Level 1 to 2 in the third TCMR assessment. This placed us among seven Town Councils with Level 2 performance for cleanliness. However , the Council maintained our Level 1 performance for the other areas, and is among 10 of the 16 Town Councils which achieved “Level 3” in the area of Maintenance.
West Coast Town Council will review the reasons for the dip in cleanliness rating and work to improve our result in the area of cleanliness . We will step up on our supervision of the cleaners and maintenance workers, and monitor their performance closely. There will also be more regular audits on the quality of cleaning and maintenance works.
At the same time, we will strive to maintain our results in the other areas that we have done well.

How You Can Help
Our residents play a major and very important role in how well we will perform for TCMR. You can help in the upkeep of your estate, through simple acts such as keeping the common area clean, tidy, clear of obstruction and free of hazards; using the facilities with due care; not to erect unauthorised structures at the common areas, etc. At the same time, you can act as additional “eyes” in the estate and feedback on defects to your Town Council for prompt rectification.
If you spot any of such defects, please alert us so that we may follow-up promptly.
By working hand in hand, by not doing negative acts and taking good care of our environment and facilities, we can get our Town to Level 1! This will be an achievement to be proud of!
About TCMR
The aim of TCMR is to provide residents with objective information about the key areas of estate management, and facilitate informed discussion between Town Councils and their residents about how they can jointly improve the upkeep of their estate over time.
Residents can visit the MND website http://www.towncouncils.sg to view results of the TCMR and for more information on how residents can play a part in shaping their estates.
